Grasshopper to VcaSlu

What it does:

This Grasshopper script creates a .slu file format which can be opened in VcaSlu.

The file takes as input from Rhino the curve as the boundary of the cross-section and the points as reinforcement bars. Additionally, both of these can be created directly in grasshopper.

Several other options are considered, including the name of the file that is generated as output, the loads, concrete class, script for multiple load cases, etc. Currently, the steel grade is by default set to B500. However, new settings and options will be included in future versions (which will be available for the current customers without any additional charge).

The .slu file will be generated in the same location where the grasshopper script is located.

VcaSlu is a free software that is mostly used for concrete structures. It can calculate the capacity of standard, or generic cross-sections, providing M-N Domain and several other results.
